I know how to enable my children. I often think that I wish that I had not enabled my children so much. However, this morning in a Minute with John Maxwell, he suggested that to enable is to empower. He suggested that if we show them how to do something, we are teaching them how to do it. We provide a role model for them. When we enable as a role model, we enable them to enjoy that path. I love that perception and now don’t feel quite as guilty as a mother.
