Today I read a brief post by Leadership First and he said, “How you treat people says a lot about you, and your leadership be judged by how you inspire, influence, and motivate your people.”
He told a story of how a leader was angrily reprimanding a staff member in front of customers and employees. Everyone was shocked and horrified to overhear such abusive criticism. We have probably all overheard such behaviour but it is my hope that this is happening less and less in today’s businesses and educational institutions.
We, as leaders, have a responsibility to inspire, influence and empower our people, no matter what their age is. Let’s keep reminding each other of the importance to be a successful, empowering leader.
