Gifford Thomas states very wisely that we are foolish when we compare ourselves to others. When we measure ourselves against the standards of others’ works, or accomplishments, it is an excercise in futility and meaningless, demeaning and personally tragic because it places our true potential at the mercy of others, giving them the right to determine and define our success.
The true success of a person is not measured by how much you have done or accomplished; your true success is what you have done compared to what you could have done. Become the very best version of you; don’t compare yourself to anyone.
