This morning, upon listening to John Maxwell, I am reminded of the importance of being open minded as a leader. According to Maxwell, “Being open-minded means it’s not hard to get to me.”
Beyond that, have an open-ear policy – mingle among your people so that what the people are seeing, doing and feeling are clear to you.
Also, have an open-heart policy so that they know that you believe and trust them.
Open means that you matter to me. A great leader must learn and listen to their people.
As leaders in education and business, we must always be open to our students and employees so that they will continue to grow and feel valued in their work lives.
Be Open to your people.
