Gavin McCormack posted thoughts about how much teachers can learn from their children. I truly hope these inspire you as much as they inspire me:
1. They never shy away from showing their emotions. It’s all on the table.
2. They’ll tell you how they feel without fear of judgment.
3. They will say statements like, “Will you be my friend?” Or “Can I play with you?”
4. They learn multiple languages without even trying.
5. They sleep anywhere whenever they need it.
6. They demand a high level of engagement and they are very keen to learn.
7. They bring no ego to the table. It’s all innocent.
8. They’ll always try their best.
9. They’ll love unconditionally.
10. They’ll tell you how it is. They’re honest and don’t hold back.
11. They know how to laugh and play and run freely, jump in puddles and ignite their senses.
12. If anything, the children in our care are our greatest teachers; we have a lot to learn.
