John Maxwell spoke about recovery in A Minute With Maxwell. Recovery, according to Maxwell, means that things are getting better. I think recovery tells us that there is hope for improving. You have met the challenge and not only survived but are gaining confidence and strength.
I personally have recovered from a lot of challenges, be it work or personal related, emotional, or physical. In order to recover we have to have stamina, desire and confidence. These attributes come from experience, support and guidance.
There is a price to pay for a fast recovery. How quickly you get out of it depends on your attitude and your actions. I often say to myself, “This too shall pass.” I think we must have a vision, a goal and a belief in ourselves to be able to recover. We must remember that mistakes are not permanent unless you make them feel that way. Think of these challenges as just another opportunity to recover and become a stronger person.
Recovery is hope.
