This morning I watched another Remembrance Day ceremony in Ottawa. What struck me as beautiful were the many amazing speeches by Canadian dignitaries.
One theme was common with all of them which was the pandemic that is affecting people around the world. I think this pandemic is uniting human beings around the world and so it should.
What was also beautiful was the way the dignitaries thanked the soldiers in the crowd.
The respect and gratitude expressed was most wonderful to see. It was also wonderful to hear former soldiers speak of their experiences. One man talked about the feeling of loss when each morning somebody’s cot was empty, one or more of his buddies were missing.
I am very grateful to be a Canadian. Thanks soldiers and dignitaries.
