Strati Georgopoulos posted the following suggestions which I concur with as a guidance Counsellor and as an educator and mom:
– Practice self-validation. Do not rely upon others for acceptance, validation, or a sense of worthiness. This must emit from you first. Be mindful of the ways in which you betray yourself for the ‘benefit’ of others.
– Practice self-belief. Create S.M.A.R.T. Goals and constantly challenge yourself. Recognize and nurture your unique skill set. Celebrate your wins no matter how small.
– Be patient. Accept that some things take time. Honour time.
I especially like the last one. I have and still am experiencing that when I feel impatient and want things to happen now, I can just say to myself, all good things take time to blossom, just like the tulip bulb. You cannot rush it to grow any faster than it is meant to grow.
