Simon Sinek is one of my heroes! He speaks passionately about his topics and has a wonderful sense of humour. I loved his speech on being infinite players rather than being finite players.
Sinek said that it’s nonsense to beat our competitors. You can’t compete with your competitors.
You have to know what game you’re in. The infinite player understands that sometimes you are better and sometimes you are not. We have to try to be better okay than yesterday.
You are your own competition. Joy comes not from comparison but from advancing. We all are competitive. But we need to compare ourselves with ourselves.
Sinek said we should have books about service to others instead of all the self-help books. We are social beings and we must commit ourselves to take care of each other. That’s just how it works.
