As an educator, I have always felt the mantle of “Responsibility” for those I am fortunate to be educating. And now as a mentor and coach, I feel the same level of responsibility. It’s not always fun since we are asking our protégés to make a commitment to change, to stand out in a group. We are constantly making suggestions to improve others’ vision and roles, be it the young students, the parents, the educators and/or the administrators of a business or school. As much as leadership, mentorship is challenging, it is also a great deal of joy and fulfillment to see others grow and become responsible citizens.
