So many people are afraid to ask for help even when they clearly need it. Ask for help and you are most likely to receive it. Say the following statements after you ask for help and you will be amazed of the outcome. BYAF – “But you are free” technique.
“But you are free to say no.”
“Please don’t feel obliged.”
“Feel free to say, no.”
The statements give others choices. These statements are most effective face to face. Less effective in emails or by phone. It will not make it twice as likely to say yes, which gives you to opportunity to say, “Thank-you.”
