Brendan Burchard, author of High Performance Habits: How Extraordinary People Become That Way, says a simple approach to seeking personal clarity is to focus on:
1. SELF – How do you want to describe your ideal self?
2. SKILLS – What skills do you want to develop and demonstrate?
3. SOCIAL – How do you want to behave socially?
4. SERVICE – What service do you want to provide?
These focuses are clearly important for all of us to clarify for ourselves and others. It’s really about success and self-esteem. I often say to my students, “How do you want to be remembered?” They always answer, “Kindly” or “Respectfully.”
